The opening ran out of seats. The letter from the President of the Republic of Poland

There were 100 seats prepared for "My Jewish Parents, My Polish Parents" exhibition opening guests. The opening took place on April 16th, 2015 at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, but the attendance exceeded organizers' expectations. After adding several dozens of chairs, a swirling crowd still remained in the lobby of the museum. It is estimated that up to 300 people could participate in the event. The exhibition hall, one of the two dedicated to temporary exhibitions, failed to accommodate all interested. Among guests were the members of the Association of "Children of the Holocaust" in Poland, representatives of other Jewish organizations and friends of the museum. Henryk Wujec, the advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, read the letter from Bronisław Komorowski to the authors of memories and viewers of the exhibition, and handed it to the president of the association, Joanna Sobolewska-Pyz . Among the most important people of the day, the children survivors of Holocaust, whose memories were on the boards, Mrs Anna Szpanowska was missing. The reason for her absence was an accident, in the result of which she passed away a few days earlier.
