The Association was nominated for the POLIN award for the exhibition

On the first anniversary of the opening of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw, the POLIN award was given out for the first time during the first edition of “Made in POLIN” event. The "Children of the Holocaust" Association in Poland was among the five nominees. The nomination concerned the exhibition "My Jewish Parents, My Polish Parents." The nomination is all the greater, because among the candidates for the award were individuals and institutions as outstanding as Jan Jagielski from the Jewish Historical Institute, who has for years taken care of places associated with the history and culture of Polish Jews, the "Borderland" Center praised for the dialogue of cultures in Poland, as well as the Marek Edelman Dialogue Center in Łódź, fighting xenophobia and intolerance. The POLIN Award was presented to Tomasz Pietrasiewicz, the founder and director of "Grodzka Gate" Center in Lublin, an institution which cannot be overestimated in consolidating memory traces of Jewish culture and building agreement in Poland.
