8 000 visitors — the most emotional temporary exhibition at the POLIN museum

In the opinion of many visitors to the exhibition, "My Jewish Parents, My Polish Parents" was the most touching temporary exposure since POLIN opened. No one left it indifferent, many spent an hour or more among the boards. Not only words of emotion and gratitude appeared in the visitors' book at the entrance, but also, among others, entries of other Holocaust children survivors in Poland and people, who counted on finding lost childhood friends among the memories on the boards. After the exhibition in POLIN, the Association of "Children of the Holocaust" in Poland began receiving requests for the opportunity to show the boards and the movie in other places in Poland and abroad. A whole “travel” calendar of the exhibition for the current and subsequent years started to emerge. The exhibition hosts estimated the number of visitors between April 16th and June 29th, 2015 at eight thousand.
